Cheap web design and development services - Is it really worth the money?

As a web design, development and internet marketing company we get offers just about daily from overseas companies offering their service at very cheap rates. As a company if I can save money whilst offering the same service to my customers I am in a great position, however what I found out is the savings are not worth the money.

Here is what I found out:

• The design of the site was poor, key fundamentals of designing the site were missed
  
• The site was designed based on an existing template for another client
  
• Projected costs for the project where exceeded by 30%
  
• Company is only contactable via messenger
  
• The company failed to deliver on their promise of great customer service
  
• The developed website was poorly constructed resulting in poor search engine optimization
  
• The search engine optimization techniques would be best referred to as illegal
  
• The company could not articulate what the best practices for designing, developing and optimizing a website should be

And many more...

I am sure there are great companies out there that live up to their word, but having used multiple companies in the past I know it is just not worth the money, time and frustration.

A person looking at saving themselves money will probably find that they pay more than anticipated and will most likely get an inferior product.

Don't fall for it, use a professional locally based company who can be contacted during business hours or can be visited at any time.
